The fact that God saves our soul, means that our body can receive sufferance because of Him or to be even killed, but our soul, that is our self cannot be killed by man, but only by God (Mt 10:28). The Bible says that in death we sleep and don’t know anything (Ecl 9:5,10), but that all the dead people will be resurrected, more exactly (anistemi or egeiro in greek), will be woken up (John 5:28-29). That’s why in Ps 116:15 it is written: “Precious in the sight of the LORD
Is the death of His saints.”, because one that experiences death for faithfulness to God is saved definitely and God is satisfied with this aspect.( see 2Tim 4:6-8).
