One thought on “Trust in the Lord

  1. This way of speaking is not arrogance, but faith. The explanation is there in the vv. 1-2
    “The LORD is my light and my salvation;
    Whom shall I fear?
    The LORD is the strength of my life;
    Of whom shall I be afraid?”
    and in the hope expressed vv. 4-5
    “One thing I have desired of the LORD,
    That will I seek:
    That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
    All the days of my life,
    To behold the beauty of the LORD,
    And to inquire in His temple.
    5 For in the time of trouble
    He shall hide me in His pavilion;
    In the secret place of His tabernacle
    He shall hide me;
    He shall set me high upon a rock.”

    Knowing the Lord, the way He thinks, His promises, His love for you, is kind of a delivering illumination of the mind that makes you not fear what the world fears (see Luke 12:4-5), but to price the relation with God and having His approval and support more then anything else. This is the real war, the fight of the mind. Human weapons can make you sleep for a wile, but being one with God makes you invincible and indestructible.
