God didn’t create mirrors, neither trees that produce mirrors, but the eyes of the others are the only mirror created by Him. In this mirror you can see not only your external look, but much about your heart. However, actually the eyes of people are like comic mirrors that distort your image and never help you know yourself as you really are. Woe to the man that bases his self image on the eyes of the people. They elevate you to heaven then let you fall into hell. The only realistic mirror is the mirror of the law, in this is the Face of God, His eyes. As He said: EL FANAI, before My face you will not … remembering the Shabbat day to keep it holy … the day consecrated to Yahveh, your God. Spending the Sabbath, face to face with God, is the best way to know yourself, or more, to get your best self, the image of God.
