First thing that I want to mention is that “Hades” is not “hell”, but the temporary residence of dead people, where they sleep until the day of resurrection from the sleep of death.
In simple words, the Lord want to say to John that death is not a problem, but a sleep similar to that we had last night, because, as He says in John 5:28 all dead people will “anistemi”, wake up from this sleep some at the awakening for life and other at the awakening for condemnation. What matters now is not death, but the fact that in Jesus we have the opportunity to live forever like children of the Love God. Jesus is the Living One, like His Father, and they want to share with us not only infinite time but everything. Jesus, by His death and resurrection, has the key. He can enter the temporary residence of dead people and He can wake them up and take them out of there. But, more then everything, He wants to share His glory with them that believe in Him and continue to keep His faith. Glory to God!
