As an application of this advice I would say that the first responsibility of the parents is educate their children, then comes the responsibility to provide for the material needs. The failure of most of children in life is generally motivated by the fact that the parents invert the importance of these two responsibilities, putting in second, third, etc levels the parental education of their children.
