In the Bible man is compared with a flower (James 1:10; 1 Pt 1:24), he is passing just like it. He has a green time, a flower time, and eventually a fruit time, then his life is gone with all his material achievements. The Word of God instead is everlasting. So, faith is the ability to see the invisible things that God promised, the upper things, like things that already exist and that are sure and everlasting; and to see the commandments of God like acts not already acted or fulfilled, the only acts that counts, that remain for ever (Heb 11:1; Ps 33:9).
