This became the chief corner stone;
This came about from the Lord,
And it is marvelous in our eyes’?”

One thought on “Jesus, the Cornerstone”
There are lots of commentaries that make connection between Jesus and the corner stone of the temple and the ideas are different and uncertain. My opinion is the Holy Spirit chose the the general title of the most important stone in the building that is not “the corner stone”, but “the head stone” to suggest that Jesus is not only the most important stone of the temple of the new creation that is the Church, but that He is the Head of this Sanctuary and more, that He is in the deepest sense the Temple itself. We as living stones are built in Him, and the Church is His body. He is absolutely our Head.
