“I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners, creating the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace, to the far and to the near,” says the Lord, “and I will heal him.”

God solved the guilt of sin by the sacrifice of His Son, and now He is working by His Holy Spirit to solve the problem of the the deceit of sin. This is what God promises here. He knows that evil doesn’t have peace and will perish at the end, but He knows too that the righteous is still vulnerable to the lies of sin. But He sees that when the righteous make a mistake he regrets and desires not to repeat the transgression. So God disciplines and educates him with love, intending to heal him of the deceit of sin. This is His desire with all that love and search for Him.
