  1. The verb matheteuo means more than to teach. This verb means to instruct a person to become as you, to imitate you, to make someone your disciple as Paul says in 1 Cor 11:1 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ! Then, when two participles are situated one after another, in translation the first one is a condition of the second. So, the right translation of Mt 28:19-20 19 So, go and instruct all the nations of the world to make disciples: baptizing them in the Name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, after you have taught them to keep all that I have commanded you! 20 And behold, I am with you every day, until the end of this age!”
