The covenant of God was always the same: “Son, give Me your heart and let your eyes find pleasure in my ways!” The old covenant was the same but based on provisory ceremonies, on the sanctuary and animal sacrifices. The new covenant is the same, but based on definitive things: a the real sacrifice and on the real sanctuary and the everlasting Priest, that is Christ. But from eternity God invited His intelligent creatures to unite freely their will with His will and to decide everything together with God. That is: to be his sons and daughters. Who accept this covenant and remain faithful to it God manifests toward them his fatherly love and opens their mind to know the truth that makes them free.
