Personally, I think that a correct translation of this verse is “The Lord is my helper, He is in my sustainer”. The message is clear, it doesn’t need any interpretation. David is seeing God permanently working in and through His angels and in David’s supporters to protect, help and save him. Or in other words, in any help that David received, he recognised the Invisible God.
