The sacrifice of Jesus is equivalent with the breaking of the trap and with letting free the bird. The sin apparently binds us forever, but the death of Christ, the Head of the creature, cut down all the old creature like a tree that fell down and from the stump remaining went out a new sprout, by the resurrection of Jesus. So anyone who believes in Jesus can be cut from the old tree by death with Jesus in baptism and be grafted in Jesus as part of the new creation born with the resurrection of Christ in Him. Glory to God, we are free in Jesus!
