In the Greek text the end of this verse is: “peace to man of his plan” (or ideal). The expression eudokia teou refers to the dream of God that will become reality at the end, the plan to fill human beings with His Spirit, and to unite them with Christ as a social body, called the church of Christ, and to adopt them as his sons and daughters. The peace referred here is available to everyone, but only part of it will be had by those who accept to obey His Word as Father, to be filled with His Spirit, and to become children of God, like Jesus, in His Son.
Amen! TRUE Peace can only come through Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, as He Himself told us — “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.” Praise Him!
