Confessing Jesus as your Lord means entering into a communion of will with Him in which you decide everything together with Him, constantly making sure that your Lord agrees. Otherwise He will ask us: “Why do you still call me my Lord, my Lord, if you do not do what I tell you?” (Luke 6:46). He Himself warned us that calling Him “my Lord” without doing the will of His heavenly Father is a form of self-deception (see Mt 7:21-22).
