One of the most difficult things to do in relation with God, in fact that tests the faith very much is to wait for God. Abraham is a good exemple. God is always faithful, but He fulfills the promise when He decides. Then He knows that the fulfilment of the promise is secondary. The most important is faith itself. The highest gain in waiting for God is the strengthening of faith. That is essential for salvation, because the right man will live by faith.
