Many commentators think that James and Paul are in contrast about faith, but, if one studies the Bible one discovers that they are in perfect harmony. Paul in Romans 1 affirms that one will be rehabilitated (considered right) who fulfills the law. Then, at the beginning and at the end of the Epistle to Romans he says that the apostles were sent to preach the obedience of faith. For James, for Paul and for Jesus too, we are accepted by God exclusively by faith, but not on the basis of an intellectual faith, but by a relational faith, that is faithfulness.
